Weeks after dozens of Kenyan soldiers were attacked and killed in Somalia by suspected Al Shabab militants, Ulinzi Stars have officially announced one of their players, Kevin Ouma was among the victims of the deadly attack.
According to Ulinzi Stars officer in charge Joe Birgen, Ouma, 28 was in the Amisom mission team seconded by the Kenya Defence Forces.
“It is sad we lost one of our key players. Ouma was a young dedicated servant of the KDF and a key member of the Ulinzi Stars squad,” said Birgen.
Ouma was not in the Ulinzi Stars squad named last week to represent the side in the 2016 Kenyan Premier League season.
Dimbasports.com sends its condolences to the entire Ulinzi Stars fraternity and the family of Kevin Ouma.
