Ugandan midfielder Khalid Aucho returned to training with Gor Mahia for the first time this season allaying fears he had ditched the 15 time Kenya champions.
Speculation has been rife that the midfielder who played a central role in Gor Mahia’s unbeaten run last season had walked out on the club due to unfulfilled promises.
He missed the weekend DSTV Supercup clash against Bandari but yesterday he was at the Camp Toyoyo grounds where the team trained early morning under coach Frank Nuttal and assistant Frank Ouna.
The former Tusker player joined K’Ogalo on a two year contract from Tusker but seemed unhappy towards the end of the year due to unpaid allowances and late payment of salaries.
“I will see off my contract with Gor Mahia, I am a Gor Mahia player and will be with the team in 2016,” Aucho went on social media after club fans had demanded to know his whereabouts. Meanwhile, the club is still awaiting the return of utility player Innocent Wafula who is also said to be in Uganda.
